You will find local exotic hideaways, miles of white sandy beaches, mountains and valleys, and many other natural wonders. In addition to the natural splendors of Puerto Rico you will find great food and a fun night life.

How to Win a Trip:

$30,000 increase in CCS print finishing wins a trip.
5% increase in CCS finishing if you did over $100,000 in finishing in 2007.
4% increase in CCS finishing if you did over $200,000 in finishing in 2007.
3% increase in CCS finishing if you did over $300,000 in finishing in 2007.
2% increase in CCS finishing if you did over $500,000 in finishing in 2007.
Any new CCS customer that does over $40,000 in CCS print finishing.

Details:
Additional trips can be won by exceeding the above requirements of each category by $30,000. For example, if you did $100,000 in lab business in 2007, in 2008 you would need to do $105,000 to earn your first trip and $135,000 to earn your second trip.

Customers must be a majority owner of all eligible accounts, and print finishing from multiple accounts will be combined. Any business acquisitions from other CCS customers will be added into the base for comparison of same period 2006 vs. 2007.

Maximum of four (4) trips per customer/owner. First winning trip is NOT transferable. It must be used by customer/owner. Customer/owner must not have any outstanding liabilities to Candid Color Systems. Increases in print finishing will be based on the same period (1/1/2008 – 12/31/2008) in the previous year. Each customer’s status will be updated on a quarterly basis using the end-of-month report. During the last quarter the reports will be updated monthly.

Eye-Fi Wireless Memory Cards
by Steve Foisy

For those of you who attended the CCS 2008 Winter seminar, you were able to see Eye-Fi in action! CCS used Eye-Fi to wirelessly send images to a computer and display them on our plasma TVs during several events. Eye-Fi wireless memory cards hit the market a few months ago after two years of development.  Eye-Fi cards store the camera’s images like any other memory card. In addition, with it’s built-in Wi-Fi transmitter, the Eye-Fi card can simultaneously transmit those images to your computer up to approx 100 feet.  Each image transmits in approximately 4-10 seconds depending on data file size.  Connect your computer to a projector and with the use of a continuous refreshing slideshow, your projected images can be viewed at an event.  Because images are transmitted from the card to the computer wirelessly, you are free to roam you’re event while shooting.  You are no longer tethered and restricted to one location. With the excitement this system can generate at an event, it not only makes a great booking tool it can also increase traffic to the online images.

Items needed to shoot and project wirelessly:
2GB Eye-Fi SD Memory Card
Purchase from B&H Photo
SD to Compact Flash Card adapter - $30, purchase from B&H Photo
D-Link 655 or equivalent Wireless Router - $120, purchase from Best Buy
Computer Projector – The choices change monthly.  Look for Epson, Infocus and ViewSonic projectors.
FastStone MaxView Slideshow Program - $20  (This is one of the few slideshow programs that refreshes itself and includes any new images saved to the Eye-Fi image folder.)

A recap on how it works:
Images are 1) written to the memory card, 2) transmitted to a wireless router, 3) directed to the computer, 4) and finally to a specified folder on the computer.  An internet connection is required to configure the Eye-Fi card, but not to use it.  Each card is configured to a specific router and computer.  If you change a component, you will need an internet connection to reconfigure the card because it must connect to the Eye-Fi website server.
